January 7, 2002 -- Disc Design & Data (DDD) has completed
infrastructure changes to 'web enable' FISHMONGER™.
'Web enabling' allows DDD to conduct all FISHMONGER™ business activities live and in real
time on the Internet through the use of web meetings over a high speed
Internet connection.
The web meeting allows any number of people to share one or more program
applications simultaneously through a special website. In addition
to sharing information, attendees can use a special toolkit to add notes
and highlight any information on the screen. Public and private
chats between all attendees are also supported.
Web meetings will be used to perform all FISHMONGER™ support functions including
customer support, software support, installation, upgrades, and
training. In addition, web meetings will be used to perform FISHMONGER™
demonstrations for new clients.
There is no special equipment or software
required to attend a FISHMONGER™ web meeting. If you can
connect to the Internet then you can connect to a FISHMONGER™ web
meeting.
"We
are very excited about the powerful new functionality and flexibility that
web meetings bring to FISHMONGER™
for service and support of our customers",
said Dave Bradshaw, president of DDD. Web enabled meetings are available to existing
customers and potential new clients immediately.
